November 30th, 2016.

Celebrated my second monthly day off with a run around the small lakes, two rounds to V’s one, and then back and showered and enjoyed each others’ company throughout the morning. Pastry in the oven, hot coffee – life’s good. I enjoy these escapes with V, really beneficial for our relationship. Later in the day took apart the plumping downstairs, so that I might install the new pipes and parts for the new bathroom. Took some elbow-grease for sure, those old pipes weren’t all set on moving! But managed to do it, and well, even.

Finished that book ‘Consciousness – a Very Short Introduction’ and set straight into another, albeit different subject: ‘102 Minutes’ – an account of that fateful day of 11th of September, 2001. It’s, of course, a devastating read. Gets real close to its subjects, and also goes a long way in explaining the technicals of what happened that day.

Christmas nears. Hope V will like the package-calendar that I got her, from the Body Shop. Big topic of this year is the tree: natural or plastic? Not much snow as yet, but I’m sure it’ll get here. N’s got a cold running, V might keep him home and spoil him until it’s over, which fingers crossed is before Friday where we hoped to skip him and K off to Funen, for their own – and our – relaxation weekend. At least a year since we faced a quiet weekend together; but this cold climate might spoil it yet. I know it’s ‘in sickness and in health’ – but isn’t it supposed to be -our- sickness.

Creative endeavors aren’t hard to come by. Got many new, cheap chineese electronics parts coming, and feel so tempted to write a subjective guide to consciousness. Then there’s the internet-of-things thing, and still there’s a shower cabine to be installed.

Brief chat with dad – hope to visit with them soon, in two weeks’ time. He was extremely casual in mentioning that he’s just had 8 teeth removed, worn down as they were. At ten thousand crowns, I actually thought ’twas cheap, to have them yanked out -and- replaced with new, plastic ones. The man knows no pain, surely.

Two-months’ evaluation-meeting with the new job upcoming. Always dreaded these things: for some reason or another. “They’ve discovered that I’m a fraud”, “I’ll get sacked”, those kind of notions. Well it usually works out, doesn’t it. So hopefully it will again.

V got a parking ticket  – 2500 crowns. Hope she’ll get it reduced on account of her poor income. Upsets her into furious temper, and then she’s job-hunting again. Hope I managed to persuade her out of it, ridiculous notion. Am glad that we have the financial surplus to handle these small bumps in life.
